Education has once again become the centerpiece of the Legislative session, and rightfully so. Our children are the future of our state, and if they don't have a good school system surrounding them, that future can never reach its full potential.
Unfortunately, the State Senate leaders have passed a bill taking money out of public schools and allowing it to subsidize tuition for families sending their kids to private schools.
Our leaders ought to be helping our public school systems, not cutting their funding and giving it away to schools helping serving only a small fraction of West Virginians.
